Yep you heard it right, recycling. I know this is something I should do anyway but this adoption has pushed me over the edge into a huge pit of aluminum. I am collecting cans and going to turn them in for cash. I guess it helps me and the environment at the same time but I must be honest. As I was crushing cans in the cold on the back patio this morning I just felt overwhelmed about all that we will have to pay......HELP!
So if any of my friends want to collect cans at their home I will pick them up, crush them and put the money towards our goal!!!!

Hi Catherine:
I found you through Heather's blog. I just want to encourage you in your adoption. I know the money is freaky. Actually, beyond freaky...as noted by your desire to collect cans. Don't forget about the tax credit!!! After you adopt you have a huge credit that allows you to not pay nearly as much in federal taxes. You can do some creative financing upfront, and with the money you don't pay in taxes you can pay off the adoption. Z came by way of Home Equity Line of Credit!!!
I hope you are able to raise tons of funds, but no matter what--keep hanging in there. There is a child for you in Ethiopia, and the money is just that: money. I am so excited for you all.
Thanks Cathy. I really had forgot about the tax credit. I guess just the daunting task of paying it upfront is what was blinding me! I am going to apply for some grants too and I know it will all work out it just seem like a lot right now.
Between the McCrary household Bennett, we can recycle a metric ton of stuff for you guys. Merry Christmas and LOVES!!!!!!!
Thanks Jen!
Merry Christmas!
Ohhh, us too! I am going through cans like crazy. I will even have Adam crush them for you. ;)
Love you!
Merry Christmas. I know what you mean about raising the money. Recycling...good idea.
